SICILY. Eryx. Circa 480-470 BC. Litra (Silver, 10.5 mm, 0.49 g, 7 h). ΕRVΚΙ - ΝΟΝ Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on Ionic column capital. Rev. Crab. Buceti 3a. SNG ANS 1340. Well-centered and toned. Obverse struck from a worn die, and with traces of sealing way on the reverse, otherwise, good fine/extremely fine.
From the "Collection sans Pareille" of Ancient Greek Fractions, ex Auctiones 11, 30 September 1980, 35 & Münzen und Medaillen FPL 274, March 1967, 8.

The sealing way on the reverse indicates that this coin was used to make a cast for study, almost certainly prior to the 1950s.
