SICILY. Tauromenion. Circa 275-216/2 BC. Litra (Silver, 10 mm, 0.87 g, 2 h). Bucranium. Rev. TAY-[P•]M Bunch of grapes. Buceti - (do note that Buceti 6, a litra dated to 344-338 is clearly a modern forgery). SNG ANS 1124. SNG Copenhagen 933. SNG Lockett 1029 (same dies). Very rare. A lovely, sharply struck and toned example. Extremely fine.
