ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Samothrace. Circa 500-465 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 7.5 mm, 0.29 g). Head of a bearded Kabiros to right wearing an alopekis cap. Rev. Oblong irregular incuse. W. Schwabacher, Kiourpet, 7 and pl. XI, 7. Ibid., Cabiri, pl. XII, 2-3. Very rare. With a miniature 'portrait' of surprisingly fine quality for such a tiny coin. Very attractively toned. Nearly extremely fine.
