ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Samothrace. Circa 500-465 BC. Obol (Silver, 7 mm, 0.55 g). Forepart of sphinx to right; border of dots. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Gérin A5 (same dies). W. Schwabacher, Kiourpet, 5 and pl. XI, a-b. Rare. Toned and attractive. Obverse very slightly off-center. Nearly extremely fine.
