ISLANDS OFF IONIA, Samos. Circa 480-439 BC. Triobol (Silver, 12 mm, 1.32 g, 11 h). Forepart of a winged boar to right, with one wing above and the other below the boar. Rev. ΣΑ (retrograde) Lion's head with open mouth to right; all within a circular incuse. Barron Class 3, 33 (same dies). Nicely toned. Struck with rusty dies on an irregular flan, otherwise, very fine.
