LUCANIA. Poseidonia. Circa 530-500 BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.50 g). Poseidon, drapery over his shoulders, striding to right, brandishing his trident in his upraised right hand; border of dots. Rev. ΠΟΜΕϞ around a central pellet; plain border. HN III 1109. Jameson 334 (this coin). McClean 1050. SNG Cop 1294. Rare. Clear, well-centered and toned. Rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
