KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 17.17 g, 12 h), Magnesia, circa 200-196. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on a high-backed throne, holding an eagle in his right hand and a scepter in his left; in the field to left, monogram of ΝΟΚΡ (?); in the exergue, maeander pattern. Price -. Possibly unpublished. Attractive and well-struck on a broad flan. Extremely fine.
