KINGS OF PAEONIA. Patraos, circa 335-315 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 12.66 g, 1 h), Astibos or Damastion. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΠΑΤΡΑΟΥ Paeonian horseman, wearing crested helmet and full armor, galloping to right and spearing fallen Macedonian soldier; in the field to left, retrograde monogram of ΜΕ. HGC 3.1, 148. Paeonian Hoard 204 (same dies). Pavlovska -. SNG ANS 1031 (same dies). Well-centered, well-struck, toned and attractive. About extremely fine.
