THESSALY. Trikka. Circa 440-400 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 11,5 mm, 2.90 g, 3 h). The hero Thessalos, nude but for cloak and petasos, holding a band below the horns of forepart of bull leaping right. Rev. TR-IKK-A-ION Forepart of bridled horse right; all within incuse square with rounded corners. BCD Thessaly II 775.2 (but same obverse die as 775.3). HGC 4, 311. Perfectly centered on a broad flan. About extremely fine.
