AKARNANIA. Thyrrheion. Circa 168-160 BC. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 9.62 g, 2 h), struck under the magistrate Zenomenes. ZENOMENHΣ Head of the River god Acheloos to right. Rev. ΘΥΡΡΕΙΩΝ Apollo Aktios seated left on throne, holding bow in right hand and resting left arm on side of throne; to left, monogram of AY. BCD Akarnania 400 (this coin). BMC 13. HGC 4, 921. SNG Lockett 1681 (this coin). Rare and of unusually fine condition, very attractively toned. Minor flan faults, otherwise, good very fine.
