Bermuda Bermuda Government 1 Pound 1.4.1943 Pick UNL PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. The signature of the Colonial Treasurer, R.A. Kelly and the Assistant Colonial Treasurer G.L. Young at right. An exciting and interesting Specimen, prepared by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company in case banknotes were needed during World War II. No notes were issued bearing the 1943 date, making this Specimen interesting and very scarce. We have not offered this type in the past, and it is missing from even the most exhaustive collections. A hole punched cancellation is "as made". The corresponding 1943 10 Shillings Specimen is offered in the previous lot. Possibly unique. Ex David Saul collection lot 47, sold in 2013 for £5,500.
