Cyprus Government of Cyprus 1 Pound 30.10.1914 Pick 5s Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. A highly desirable note which is the sole graded example in the PMG Population Report. TDLR carried through the simple designs utilized on the Shillings denominated notes of this series to the £1 layout. A profile portrait of King George V and his royal coat of arms appear at the top and bottom margins respectively, with the value repeated at left and right. Printed in black with a brown secondary tint on watermarked paper, this note served as a Specimen and was appropriately rubberstamped SPECIMEN in the lower right margin. It also has a solid zero serial number and is perforated CANCELLED. Traces of mounting residue on the left border but do not detract from the overall appearance.
