Cyprus Government of Cyprus 1 Shilling 1.3.1920 Pick 14s Specimen PMG Extremely Fine 40. A rare 1 Shilling Specimen from the 1920 series which is one of only two graded examples registered in the PMG Population Report. TDLR was ordered to design and print a series of 1 and 2 Shillings notes in 1920 in response to a chronic coin shortage in Cyprus. This short lived series was withdrawn and demonetized in 1922. This rare Specimen is stamped in the lower right margin and has a solid zero serial number. It is also perforated CANCELLED. Previous mounting and printer's annotations are mentioned by the third party grading company.
