Cyprus Government of Cyprus 1 Pound 2.1.1936 Pick 18s Specimen PMG About Uncirculated 50. Dated eighteen days before George V died, but actually issued months after he passed away, this note was used as a temporary measure after Edward VIII abdicated the throne on December 11, 1936. This Specimen has a solid zero serial number and is perforated CANCELLED. The third party grading company mentions some printers' annotations that appear in the top face margin and some lightened stains, neither of which detract from the appearance of this rare type.
