Cyprus Government of Cyprus 10 Shillings 31.7.1954 Pick 31sp Specimen Proof PMG About Uncirculated 55. As an expedient, small quantities of these notes were issued even though the date is clearly well after George VI's death by over two years. This Specimen has the value expressed in modern Turkish characters, has solid zero serial numbers, and is perforated "CANCELLED." It is believed to be the only extant example and it also served as the plate note in the Pridmore reference on page 162. Previous mounting is noted, but that certainly does not detract from the scarcity of this piece.
