KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great.' 336-323 B.C. AR tetradrachm. 17.35 gm. 26 mm. Amphipolis mint. Struck under Kassander, circa 310-307 B.C. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; Λ above T above torch to left, monogram below throne. Price 438. Good Very Fine; light pleasing tone; a few minor marks, and small area of roughness on obverse. Handsome coin, good style struck from pleasing dies, well centered on a broad flan. Attractive example.
