THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 405/0-370 B.C. AR drachm. 5.85 gm. 24 mm. Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly right, hair in ampyx; METO very faintly along edge to lower left / Horse grazing right, forelegs on slanted line extending from ground line; ΛAPI above. L-S Group 4, Head Type 18, dies O57/R2. BCD Thessaly II – (cf. 230 for same obverse die). Near Very Fine; lightly toned; graffito A on reverse. Rare obverse type; dramatic style.

From CNG: "Lorber and Shahar tentatively call the line below the horse's forelegs a ramp, but this may just be an attempt to fix an engraving error. The letters on the obverse are not noted in their study."
