PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (Physcon). 145-116 B.C. AR tetradrachm. 13.89 gm. 25 mm. Paphos mint. Dated RY 41 (130/129 B.C.). Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, aegis around neck / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, scepter over shoulder; LMA (date) to left, ΠΑ to right (apparently an unrecorded date). Cf. Svoronos 1514 (RY 40). Good Very Fine; attractively toned with slight iridescence; a few superficial cracks/flan flaws. Rare (unlisted?) date for Ptolemy VIII for this mint.
