Set of one-hundred (100) plaster casts of intaglio gems. Made by Thomas Cades, Rome, circa 1840. Each piece with gilt-foil edge and yellow paper surrounds, mounted on a sea-green paper background on one of four stacking wood trays. Maker's label on inner lid. As made. Box mostly intact, one impression chipped. A wonderful souvenir of the Grand Tour.
