KINGS of MAURETANIA. Ptolemy. AD circa 20/1-40. AR Denarius (15mm, 1.68 g, 8h). Caesarea mint. Dated RY 6 (circa AD 25/6 or 26/7). Diademed and draped bust right / Draped curule chair, surmounted by laurel wreath, against which rests a scepter. MAA 266; Mazard 441; SNG Copenhagen –. Toned, faint cleaning scratches and marks. VF. Very rare, one in CoinArchives, with different orientation of legend on reverse.
