NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P, laureate head left; uncertain monogram incised to left / ROMA in exergue, S C across field, Roma seated left on cuirass, right foot on helmet, holding Victory and parazonium; shield behind; IXI incised to right. Alföldi, Kontorniat 129; Tocci –; Sachero –. Dark green patina, scratch in field on obverse. VF. Exceptional style, likely copied directly from an original sestertius of Nero.
