Maya Jar with Glyphic Symbols. A fine Maya jar from the Pacific slope region of Guatemala, ca. 400 – 700 AD. It is 3-3/4" in diameter and is decorated with a pair of deeply incised glyphic symbols set off with punctured slits, which create a fine visual texture. The rim retains remnants of orange pigment.
