IONIA. Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 155-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.78 g, 12 h), Attic standard. Euphemos, son of Pausanias, magistrate. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis to right, with bow and quiver over her shoulder. Rev. MAΓNHTΩN - EYΦHMOΣ / ΠAYΣANIOY Apollo standing left on maeander pattern, holding filleted laurel branch in his lowered right hand and leaning his left elbow on a tall tripod behind him; all within laurel wreath. BMC 36. Ellis-Evans 99 (O.23/R.EP11). Jones obv. die 17. SNG Berry 1068. Bright and fresh, a lovely example of fine style. Light die wear, otherwise, good extremely fine.
