BRUTTIUM. Carthaginian occupation. Circa 216-211 BC. Half Shekel (Silver, 19 mm, 3.80 g, 3 h), Second Punic War issues, uncertain mint in Bruttium. Head of Tanit to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, single pendant earring and elaborate necklace with ten pendants. Rev. Horse standing right; above, ouraios. HN Italy 2016. Robinson, Second, p. 44, Group II, 3 and pl. V, 14. SNG Copenhagen (North Africa) 359. SNG Lockett 1066. Lovely iridescent toning and very well centered. Minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
