Brutus, 43-42 BC. Denarius (Silver, 22 mm, 3.82 g, 12 h), with P. Servilius Casca Longus, moneyer. Military mint traveling with Brutus and Cassius in western Asia Minor or northern Greece, late summer-autumn 42. CASCA - LONGVS Laureate head of Neptune to right; below, trident. Rev. BRVTVS - IMP Victory advancing right on broken scepter, holding palm frond over her left shoulder and broken diadem bound with fillet with both hands. Babelon (Junia) 44 and (Servilia) 37. Crawford 507/2. CRI 212. RBW 1780. Sydenham 1298. Rare. A lustrous example struck on a very broad flan. The reverse slightly double struck, otherwise, good extremely fine.
