Rev. •PONTIF•MAX•TR•POT•XXXVII• / S - C Rudder placed vertically across banded globe; to right at base of rudder, small globe. BMC 117. CBN 109. Cohen 13 corr. (reverse legend). RIC 58. Rare. A lovely example with an attractive portrait and a very old pedigree. Minor smoothing and with small areas of weakness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
