S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI / S C Trajan, in military attire, galloping on horseback to right, thrusting spear at Dacian kneeling right below horse, head turned back to left and raising his right hand. BMC 903. CBN 331. Cohen 510 var. (no drapery). RIC 545 var. (no drapery). Woytek 318b. A beautiful example of this iconic type with a noble portrait and a lovely dark green patina. Minor smoothing, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
