Catharine Lorber in analysing the Commerce 1995 Hoard (CH 9.690) of Second Punic War billon tridrachms that was closed around 205 BC, concluded that this youthful portrayal of Tanit was most probably introduced in the aftermath of Hannibal's victory over the Romans at Cannae in 216 BC.
