Tahir, ca. 230-245 AH, AR drachm (1.20g), A-100.1var, Zeno, muling of the obverse of type A-99 with the Afrighid-style bust right and the crude Arabic legend clearly starting with jabuya followed by abbreviated malik with the reverse of A-100.1, horseman right, pseudo-Choresmian legend around, Arabic muhammad above the horse's rump, decent portrait, about 15% flat strike, unpublished and possibly unique, VF, RRR. Muhammad is possibly the son of 'Abd Allah b Tahir, who served in Khorasan before his appointment to the governorship of Baghdad in AH851.
