UMAYYAD: ca. 710s, AE fals (3.75g), Ma'arrat Masrin, ND, A-182, mint name rather carelessly recut over the mint name Sarmin (type A-187), with star in upper left on the obverse (characteristic of Sarmin fulus), lovely patination, VF, RRR. A similar piece with the clear mint name Sarmin, also with the upper left obverse star, was sold in Leu Numismatik Web Auction 17, Lot 3401, a very rare type for the mint of Sarmin.
