FRANCE: ladies compact case (166.5g), ND (ca. 1900?), appears to be made of silver-plated brass, with brass chain, case with compartments that compress for two sizes of coins, a mirror that folds out exposing hidden compartment, and engraved club-shaped spring-loaded arm to secure banknotes, outside of case engraved in centers and corners, one center featuring a fancy CLC monogram, case has been cleaned and has light hairline scratches; attribution to France is tentative, EF.
