AFRASIYABID: Anonymous, AR 4 dirhams (3.35g), Amul, AH760, A-B2347, citing the Hidden Imam al-Mahdi plus mint & date // the Shi'ite kalima in the center and the 12 Imams in the marginal legend, VF, RR. The division into specific denominations now seems to be incorrect, and the actual standards should become more apparent as more examples are published with their weight. An identical piece weighing 4.15g struck from the same obverse die was sold in our Auction 19, Lot 722, and classified as A-A2347 by its weight.
