MUGHAL: Zahir al-Din Babur, 1st or 2nd reign, at Samarqand, 1497-1498 & 1500-1501, AR tanka (4.72g), NM, AH9xx, A-I2462, Rahman-Cmk.01/02, with two later Timurid countermarks, first A-2439 of Sultan Husayn, Herat Mint, and later A-2445 of Badi' al-Zaman for three-tanka denomination, dated AH911, also Herat Mint, host largely obliterated, but mint of Samarqand is visible, all three countermarks in VF or better, holed & plugged, RR, ex M.H. Mirza Collection.
