Pedro II 320 Reis 1702-P XF Details (Environmental Damage) NGC, Pernambuco mint, KM89.2, LMB-146. A scarce mint/date combination that we have handled only three times, most recently an NGC-graded VF35 example that sold in May 2021 for $5,040 all-in. Despite the environmental damage that has obscured the outermost peripheries on the obverse and imbued the surfaces with a foggy appearance, the piece at hand maintains ample detail from its bold strike, the most prominent weaknesses seen to the crown and the letters "RV" of "PETRVS", as is symptomatic for the type.
