Republic gold 8 Escudos 1819 So-FD AU53 NGC, Santiago mint, KM84. An extremely impressive 8 Escudos representative of this early "Sunface" Chilean type. Light and gentle circulation has left no distracting marks on this alluring coin that somehow has welcome hints of both green and orange toning. The detail on each of the crossed flags is almost full, something that is not always seen, even on specimens with equal to or less wear than this one.
