CILICIA, Carallia. Trebonianus Gallus. AD 251-253. Æ (23mm, 8.24 g, 1h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Demeter standing facing, head left, holding grain ears and long scepter. RPC IX 1198; SNG BN –; SNG Levante –. Earthen brown patina, slight roughness. Good VF. Extremely rare, the second known. See Lindgren I 1465 for the other known speimen.
RPC only lists two types for Gallus from Carallia, both from only one specimen. All coinage from this city is rare.
