For countermark: Kovacs p. 79, 24. Earthen brown patina. Fair. Rare.

This issue issue was struck in 70/71 CE (year 17 of Aristobulus' reign), the final year of the Jewish war and around 45 years since the execution of John the Baptist, which has been tentatively dated to some time between 25 and 29 CE.
