L. Scipio Asiagenus. 106 BC. Fourée Serrate Denarius (19mm, 3.80 g, 7h). Contemporary imitation. Imitating an official issue of the Rome mint, circa 106 BC. Laureate head of Jupiter left / Jupiter, hurling thunderbolt and holding scepter, driving quadriga right; B above, to right of scepter. Crawford 311/1d; Sydenham 576b; Cornelia 24; RBW –. Toned, scratches, some minor corrosive breaks in plating on reverse. VF. A most impressive fourée.
