Niketas, synkellos and chartoularios of the Great Orphanotropheion, bishop of Ionopolis. Circa 11th century. PB Seal (28mm, 16.33 g, 12h). The Theotokos enthroned facing, holding medallion of Holy Infant on breast / Legend in seven lines. BLS II 657; DOCBS 4, 18.3. Tan surfaces, slightly bent. Good VF.
