SICILY. Leontini. Ca. 440-430 BC. AR tetradrachm (26mm, 17.21 gm, 11h). Laureate head of Apollo left in high Classical style / ΛEON-TIN-ON (partly retrograde), head of roaring lion right; three barley grains and olive leaf around. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte 53 (same obverse die). HGC 2, 670 (same obverse die as illustration). Light gray toning overall. Slightly weak obverse strike, otherwise an attractive Good Very Fine.
