THRACE. Maroneia. Ca. 168-72 BC. AR tetradrachm (35mm, 16.53 gm, 12h). Head of young Dionysus right, wearing mitra (cloth headband) and ivy wreath / ΔΙΟΝΥΣΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΜΑΡΩΝΙΤΩΝ, Dionysus standing half-left, holding bunch of grapes and two narthex wands (stalks of the giant fennel), monograms low in inner fields.
