IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian right / AETERNITATI AVG, Sol, radiate, standing facing, head left, nude save for chlamys over left arm, raising right hand and holding globe in left. RIC 97. Cohen 37 variant (laureate head). Calicó 3186. Well struck and pleasing. A few minor black deposits. NGC (photo-certificate) AU 5/5 - 1/5, smoothing.
