AV solidus (21mm, 4.49 gm, 6h).  Constantinople, late Fall AD 475–August AD 476, D N bASILISCI ET MARC P AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust (of Basiliscus?) facing, head slightly right, holding spear over right shoulder and on left arm shield with horseman motif / VICTORI – A AVCCC Z, Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross; star in right field, CONOB in exergue. RIC X 1025 (R2). Hahn 8. Depeyrot 105/2. Very rare. Central flan flaw obscuring emperor's face. NGC (photo-certificate) MS 2/5 - 5/5, adjusted flan. From The Andre Constantine Dimitriadis Collection.
