MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, laureate draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / P M TR P IIII COS P P S - C, Maximinus in military dress standing left, right hand raised, holding spear in left; two signa behind to the left, one to the right. RIC IV 40. Struck on a broad, nearly medallic flan, with a choice dark brown patina. Exceptional portrait! NGC XF 5/5 - 2/5, smoothing.
