Otacilia Severa, wife of Philip I (Augusta AD 244-249). AR "barbaric" antoninianus (22mm, 3.62 gm, 11h). Unknown, possibly Gallic or Germanic mint. N I (sic) OTACIL SEVE[RA AVG?], draped bust of Otacilia right on crescent / CONCOBDIΛ AVCC (sic), Concordia seated left holding patera and double cornucopiae. Cf. RIC IV 125c (Philip I) and RSC 4 for type, otherwise unrecorded. Extremely rare and fascinating barbaric imitation! Choice Extremely Fine.
