Cordoba. Provisional copper Pattern 4 Reales 1852, Cordoba mint, KM-Pn10, Janson-5.2, AU58 Brown NGC. A rare and attractive copper pattern for the Cordoba 1852 4 Reales issue. After an extremely rare pattern dated 1815 of which but three specimens are presently known, coins were struck again in Cordoba starting in 1833. Between that year and 1843, several privateers were given successive concessions to strike coins. In 1844 a formal provincial mint was finally authorized by governor Manuel Lopez and operated until 1854. The 1852 dated patterns known for this mint, all rare, were struck from dies commissioned in Paris by  French engineer Juan Roque.

Estimate: 750-1250 USD
