Charles IV gold 8 Escudos 1791 PTS-PR, Potosi mint, KM77, Onza-1084, AU53 NGC. Very attractive toning and only slight wear on the higher points. Although as many as four subtypes are listed in La Onza, this remains a very popular and elusive one-year type, easily identifiable by the laureate proper bust of Charles IV. Higher grade specimens such as the present coin are decidedly rare and sought after.
