George V Specimen Cent 1926, KM28, SP65 Red and Brown PCGS. A mellow red Gem, delicate satin-textured throughout, with touches of wispy maroon patina on both sides and a bold strike that left intricately defined centers and pleasing squared rims. Entirely spot free and very pleasing. Rather rare in specimen format and cataloged in the Pittman sale with the notation that, "it is unlikely that a finer Specimen of the date exists." Today, one of only two examples to merit the MS65 Red and Brown designation at PCGS (one at NGC) with a single MS66 Brown graded.Ex: Pittman Collection (Akers 8/99, Lot 2147).
