Newfoundland. Victoria Pattern Specimen 5 Cents 1865, London mint, NF-11, SP64 PCGS. Plain Edge - Coin Alignment. Sharply detailed throughout with brownish-gold tone on both sides that reveal hints of maroon and blue shades when closely inspected. Underlying reflectivity is boldly apparent and while largely masked by the tone, frost on the central design is evident. Seemingly a premium coin for the grade with no apparent handling. As a type, distinguishable from the standard issue by distinctly raised edges on the reverse arches. One of only a few known - the present coin being one of two graded SP64 by PCGS.From The Prager Collection of Canadian Specimen Coins
