Republic silvered-copper Pattern 8 Escudos 1836 So-IJ, Paris mint, KMPnA6, MS63 NGC. Choice Uncirculated with much mint brilliance, a most pleasant specimen of this very scarce pattern. As stated by Carlos Jara's article on these pieces (http://lanumismatics.blogspot.com/2011/07/research-on-two-chilean-patterns-dated.html), the "silver plated examples (of these patterns) also exist but are far rarer than their copper counterparts".
